Possibly (but not likely) Simplicia cornicalis Fabricius, 1794. Forms part of the mess between Simplicia cornicalis and Nodaria cornicalis which refer to the same species. See Sighting 4596283
Many sites use Nodaria cornicalis Fabricius, 1794 for this species but It cannot be as the name is derived from Phalaena cornicalis, Fabricius, 1794 which is the same name Simplicia cornicalis Fabricius, 1794 is derived from and it appears that Simplicia cornicalis Fabricius, 1794 takes precedence. A good example of Simplicia cornicalis is sighting 4596283.
You may well be right, but AFD does not recognise Simplicia cornicalis, and does recognise Nodaria cornicalis, and NatureMapr defers to AFD as the higher authority, whatever its limitations.
