Possibly Lialis burtonis. The legless lizard was initially sighted being attacked by a bird. As we approached, the bird dropped the lizard and flew away. The lizard appeared to be unharmed but lay still for some time with its head in the air. It eventually took off into the grass, rolling over several times and disappeared into a hole in the ground. Additional images are provided in following sighting 4547676 to help with identification. Thanks to Barbara for the initial sighting.
