User's notes

A follow-up to sightings 4536073 and 4536160. The previous sightings showed the pair of birds nesting at a location which they have apparently occupied for many years. Unfortunately, the recent rainstorms and strong winds which passed through this area and went on for days, caused significant damage and also drove the birds from the nest. After the storms passed, the nest had been abandoned and two broken and empty egg shells were found on the ground beneath the nest, with the birds nowhere to be seen. They have since returned to this location as shown in the images. Presumably this rainstorm and wind damage has been repeated at various nesting sites in this area and will affect the associated bird populations to some extent.
