Nyctemera secundiana and N. baulus are treated as synonyms, by AFD, but correct me if I''m wrong, there is a webpage for each on Lepidoptera Butterfly House. Displaying both together on my screen, it seemed to me the N. secindiana pattern was different and a better match to this photo!
BOLD have them as separate species, so I think that implies that their DNAs differ? The only superficial difference I can see is in the hindwings. Like Helicoverpa, if we cannot see the hindwings, I think that we can only suggest the genus.
