Quite possibly P. badia, but the photo is not in sharp focus to see the two backward sloping band of dots clearly, but the suggestion is there. Outer forewing matches ;P. badia. P. badia does not appear on the Australian Faunal Directory. iNaturalist calls the species Anatrachyntis badia. A. badia's sistribution is predominantly SE Qld. A. badia not on AFD either, but the ALA recognizes it as a synonym for P. badia.
Happy with Anatrachyntis badia (Hodges, 1962) originally described as Sathrobrota badia from South Florida, so a recent import. While Hodges referred to it as Pyroderces badia in 1978, Zimmerman referred to it as Anatrachyntis badia in the same year 1978. Anatrachyntis appears to now be the correct genus.
As i see it the AFD do not recognise P. badia or Anatrachyntis badia, but they do recognose P. mesoptila which is a different species. The ALA seem to prefer A. badia but seem to recognise Pyroderces as a synonym. Given the ALA is the ultimate destiantion of these sightings I suggest we stick with A. badia here for now.
