This sighting applies to the Greater Sand Plover seen in the first image. (The second bird with orange legs, a Ruddy Turnstone, is recorded in sighting 4499673). The two birds were sighted on the mud flats to the North of King Island during a recent low tide and blended into the background quite well. They remained close together whilst we observed them and kept their distance when we tried to get closer. Thanks to Barbara for the initial sighting.
