This sighting applies to the Ruddy Turnstone (with orange legs). The other bird, a Greater Sand Plover, is recorded in following sighting 4499697. The two birds were sighted on the mud flats to the North of King Island during a recent low tide and blended into the background quite well. They remained close together whilst we observed them and kept their distance when we tried to get closer. Thanks to Barbara for the initial sighting.
Two different species here, a Ruddy Turnstone (with the orange legs) and a Greater Sand-plover. Would be great if you could make separate records for both.
