User's notes

A large number of crabs of various types and sizes were sighted as the tide went out. All were very sensitive to any movement within about 10m. Typically, they would rapidly disappear sideways into the sand at any sign of nearby movement and after a period of time would then briefly emerge and disappear again at great speed (in case a predator was nearby?) before very cautiously sidling out of the sand to continue feeding.
