Additional close-up detail for sighting 4484404. The first three images
appear to show that the head of this beetle has evolved over time, flattening out and causing the base of each antenna to move into and across the compound eye structure. This has almost reached the point of separating each compound eye into two separate parts. The final image shows the beetle about to fly off.
