I am not sure that Threnosia hypopolia has the strong white band along the costa. The faded type, from Museums Victoria, on ALA and the digitally adjusted copy of the image on Moths of Victoria Part 2 (2nd Ed.) CD have the wide white strip.

The colour of the underside and feet doesn't look right for Rattus lutreolus, which is usually darker. I agree it looks like a young one.

@SuziBond would you mind having a look at this one please. It’s possible it is a Pieris rapae (Cabbage White), but the full yellow hindwing, the predominantly white forewing with yellow tip, the lateral black edge along the forewing & the black spots placement just under the yellow tip also look like this could be a Common Albatross/Yellow Albatross (Appias paulina), male. Hoping you can help😊
